Spirituality and mindfulness are basically synonymous - being part of something larger than yourself. Religion may or may not be a component.
These videos (free on YouTube) have been inspiring to me on my medical and emotional journey:
- Anito Moorjani: she returned from a near-death experience while terminally ill from cancer (also available in her popular book). She has a list of empath-focused YouTube videos.
- Carolyn Myss: perhaps the best-known spiritual intuitive (or empath), she connects to what people are not yet consciously aware of, and explains it clearly.
- Gregg Braden: he combines science, quantum physics, neurobiology, and the study of human emotion.
- Dr. Andrew Weil: he spans physical, mental and spiritual health. Also written many books.
- Dr. Joe Dispenza: Watch and listen to short stories of personal breakthroughs, miraculous healings, profound transformations, and powerful creations from his community of students worldwide (search for any major medical condition atop the webpage).
- Kris Carr:: watch the 8-minute trailer about her cancer journey (she's also written the books like Crazy Sexy Diet (which is a candid, refreshing read).
- Marianne Williamson: before she got into politics, she wrote The Course in Miracles and was a spiritual meditator for decades.
- Michael Beckwith: a longtime Christian reverend and spiritual leader and author.
- Rob Wergin: he's a spiritual empath healer.
- Gary Zukav: Spiritual thought leader and book author of "The Seat of the Soul". His interview with Oprah Winfrey discusses the many forms of fear.
And last but not least: Unsinkable: The Secret to Bouncing Back (free documentary): it's both emotional and uplifting.
